These terms apply when you use this website or buy Lessons from the Monk, a digital book of stories by Ajahn Sombat. Please read them before you buy. By buying the book or using this website, you agree to them.
1. Who we are
Lessons from the Monk is sold by The Monk College, 6FCW+F29, Nai Mueang, Phimai District, Nakhon Ratchasima 30110, Thailand. You can reach us at sombat@themonkcollege.com.
2. Reflective content, not advice
Lessons from the Monk and everything on this website are stories and personal reflections. They are not medical or psychological advice, and they do not replace the care of a doctor, a therapist or another qualified professional. If you are struggling, please speak with someone qualified to help, and in an emergency call your local emergency number.
3. The book and its price
Lessons from the Monk is a digital book in PDF format. Its price is shown on this website and on the checkout page before you pay. Prices are in US dollars.
4. Payment
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card details. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy also apply to the payment.
5. Delivery
Your book is delivered as soon as your payment is confirmed. You can download it right away from the confirmation page, and we also email a link to it to the address you used at checkout. If you have any trouble downloading it, contact us and we will help you get your copy.
6. All sales are final
All sales are final. No refunds. Because Lessons from the Monk is a digital product delivered immediately after payment, we do not offer refunds, returns or exchanges. If your download does not work, contact us at sombat@themonkcollege.com and we will make sure you receive your copy.
7. Your license
When you buy the book, you receive a personal license to read it on your own devices and to print it for your own use. You may not copy, share, resell, upload, publish or distribute the book or any part of it. The book, this website and their content belong to The Monk College and are protected by copyright.
8. Using this website
Please use this website lawfully. Do not try to disrupt it, gain unauthorized access to it, or copy its content for redistribution.
9. Limitation of liability
The book and this website are provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, The Monk College is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any decision you make based on the book or this website. Our total liability for any claim relating to the book is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits a right that, by law, cannot be limited.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version on this page, with its effective date at the top, applies to purchases made from that date.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any dispute about them will be decided by the courts located there.
